About Kyle Corbett

Playing in various altered tunings with an unmatched arsenal of techniques at his fingertips, Kyle’s live performances are captivating. Influenced by the music of Chris Cornell, PJ Harvey, Jeff Buckley, and Pink Floyd as well as acoustic artists like Ani DiFranco, Michael Hedges, and Stephen Wilson Jr, Kyle's sound is a fusion of plaintive melodies, virtuosic guitar and enveloping textures.

Hailing from the stages and studios of New York City, Kyle established himself as a performer and session artist in some of the most iconic venues and studios. His music has been recorded by legendary artists like Adrian Belew (David Bowie, King Crimson, Talking Heads) and Marillion's Steve 'h' Hogarth. He has performed his music throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.

Having rejoined with Atlanta-based drummer Richie Torrance, Kyle is currently recording an LP of new music set to be released in 2026.

Born into a  family where music was an imperative, Kyle got his first guitar at three and was sight-reading “Eleanor Rigby” by five. The promise of a youthful passion was realized at eleven in the catharsis of live performance while playing with a college band at a neighbor’s house party. Though the experience was cut short by Kyle’s original music influencer, his father, these indelible moments manifested in an intense desire to connect with people through sound. This would drive an obsession to expand  vocabulary and technique, playing guitar eighteen hours a day for decades. Soon, Kyle was opening for seasoned local heroes and so impressed the Reggae luminary Eek-A-Mouse at a soundcheck that the towering figure immediately approached the stage, grabbed Kyle’s open palms and exclaimed, “Your hands are sweet like sugar!”
